Central Bank of Brazil (BCB)
The Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), was established on December 31, 1964. The Brazilian Central Bank is Brazil’s highest monetary authority in, and the country’s governing body in, finance and economics. The Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) is linked with the Ministry of Finance. Like other central banks, the Brazilian Central Bank is Brazil’s main monetary authority.
This authority was obtained when it was established by three different institutions: the bureau of Currency and Credit (PT) (SUMOC), the Bank of Brazil (BB) and the Ministry of Finance
