Jet Airways will start 28 new flights in September
Jet Airways announced on Wednesday it will offer 28 new flights in September. Air operations are scheduled to start between Chandigarh, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur, as well as between Vadodara and Jaipur, the airline said in a statement.
The announcement came two days after the company reported a loss of 1,133 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal year.
Jet Airways said it would also provide additional frequencies on the current routes between Mumbai, Guwahati, Delhi and Bagdogra. It will also provide a one-stop connection on the Mumbai-Bagdogra and Delhi-Guwahati routes. Non-stop flights between Bengaluru and Lucknow, Indore with Kolkata, Kolkata with Chandigarh, Coimbatore with Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam with Mumbai and Delhi will also be launched.
“With the increasing popularity of air travel in emerging cities such as Indore, Jodhpur, Guwahati, Vishakhapatnam and Vadodara, there is a growing need to introduce communication solutions,” said Raj Sivakumar, vice president of sales and distribution worldwide.
